Regular Joe MPs have no power at all. On most issues they vote how they're told to vote. There are no checks and balances as there are in the US political system. IMHO her statement is more true than not."

It's well-known that the PMO runs the show. I don't like that one bit! I'm not too shy on that either with my MP.

But that sure as heck doesn't mean a person should call the government a "dictatorship." First, it is not true. Second, you debase the language (not to mention the memories of our parent's sacrafices and those of the Peace Keepers). Nope, it don't wash well with this guy.
