John: I thought most of the DEC patents were regarding the Alpha chips but it stands to reason they'll have some kind of "Merced- like" patent--I don't know if it'll be all that easy to prove that Intel infringed, though, as a lot of this stuff is in a gray area and overlaps--DEC's ceo sure seems certain he's got a case, though.
