Don't worry -- I do my housekeeping chores (What chores? I'll have a G & T, thanks). I keep my hard disk in fine working order, with all the latest programs and gizmos. I even do frequent tape backups. The system didn't crash because I hadn't defragged, scanned for errors, or vaccinated against nasty viruses. Somehow a dll file got replaced or corrupted, and exactly how remains a mystery. But all is in working order now. Fortunately, I didn't have to resort to any extreme measures, such as reinstalling Windows 95 or hurling my computer out the window. When everything went haywire last night, my only worry was that I wouldn't be able to do the usual QP scans. I've become addicted to fundamental scans. QP is a powerhouse, and last night the lights were out for a few hours.
