Greeting to Everyone!

I have been following this thread now for several months, and I too have made money on AXC and as of now have lost some money! I would first like to thank all of you for some very valuable insight. To the TA guys..thanks a bunch..keep it up I really appreciate the info that is presented. To Mary Beth ..well ...I feel your pain! To Norman..keep giving them hell, its what keeps this post active, but please be more knowledgeable regarding basic accounting and stock fundlementals. As for you Gus and the other "techno heads"...I have learned a ton from you guys and can't thank you enough for you valuable input!
As for my opinions; Well the accumulation of equities in "blue chip" has had a serious effect on small cap issues. In fact the Russel 2000 had its worse Jan/Feb in nearly 60 years. What does this portend? To me, it clearly indicates a buying opportunity, and AXC is no exception. If you already own, buy more (if possible) to lower your cost averge. If your looking to buy, few equities are as attractive as AXC right now.
I too have spoken on several occasions with AXC investors relations dept (Karen) and have recieved conflictiong info a few times. I know for a fact that she does read this thread occasionally...which I gotta believe that some information is passed on to the top brass. I beleive that the shareholders meeting is to be held in May. I will be there! And perhaps major announcements will then be forthcoming.

As for KM, I too was disappointed with the meager release regarding Maxtor that AXC provided at year end (then closed the offices). Talk about poor investors relations practice! I have consulted with a close friend of mine who as a computer manufacturing business, regarding KM and Maxtor. His opinion is that of all the disk drive manufacturers, Maxtor has the lowest quaulity of production (at least to him). The return rate on defective HDD's and associated problems with HDD's are higher for Maxtor than any other manufacturer in his experince. He fells that the premier player (from a quality stand point) is Western Digital. If they sign on..look out! As for the increases that KM promises he feels that anything that is so cost effective as KM appears to be can only be met with a positive attitude. As programs get more complex, as opertaing systems become larger, and as people just continue to save old info on there HDD, larger HD's are more and more being requried. In fact, about 40 % of his upgrade business is in people wanting a larger hard drive. He sees no decrease in this at all. Thus, I remain extremely positve about Ampex, but very disappointed in their ability to express developments to there shareholders and to the rest of the investment community.
How the CEO can embark upon a country wide dog and pony show touting the company, only to see the stock drop some 30% has me scratching my head, I must admit. But, I beleive that since Bramsons' own holdings are are now worth what he paid, perhaps some positive action will be short coming.

Again, thanks for all of your input, and I look forward to further discusssions!
