Brinks' post on that dink alleged oil company is getting picked up on other SI threads. I will assume that the stock could be appealing to people who want a cheap oil play, and/or a low-price stock, and/or who want some confirmation from others that the company/its prospects etc. are now worth making a bet on. Some of the SI readers are - from my limited understanding - people who take few, but large positions.

As a consequence, I can see the stock quickly rising. (But I could be wrong - so far today the stock's down a penny on larger than normal volume.)

In any case, there's a margin of safety provided by the cash (assuming the company invests it wisely).

I'll up my tiny position by a few multiples. (I've previously made purchases at $1.64/sh (12/23/04) and $1.35/sh (1/12/05).) Adding a hunk into my IRA now, in case the stock does quickly spurt and I decide to sell. If not, I'm still prepared to hold on.
