musicguy, Your instructor is correct in relation to the practice of Tai Chi. The same goes for coffee and beer for example. This still does not stop people from drinking coffee or beer. The cultivation of the energy in Tai Chi is disrupted by any drug and many foods. I hope this does throw you off as far as the possibilities for the marketing of ginseng in China.
