US again warns Iran to desist from helping Iraqi insurgents kill American troops February 1, 2007, 11:49 AM (GMT+02:00) Undersecretary of state Nicholas Burns said Iranian agents were transferring sophisticated explosive technology to Shiite militias who then use it to target American soldiers. Washington has accused Iran of providing them with high-grade "shaped" explosives that can pierce the thick armor on many military vehicles – first in southern Iraq and now further north as well. The LA Times reports American aerial flights over the Iraq-Iran border have been stepped up.
