3/20/09 update
Despite the Fed's promise to keep their printing presses running full steam, 24/7, and a triple witching Friday, the Nasdaq Composite Index showed a small gain for the week. But at Friday's closing bell, the NCI was still down -7.27% CYTD, or "Contest Year To Date," (vs. down -8.91% CYTD a week ago). Biotech investors seemed a bit more rattled by the goings on and the Nasdaq Biotech Index and the Contest median were both lower for the week. At Friday's close, the NBI was down -7.85% CYTD (vs. down -6.30% CYTD a week ago) and the Contest median was down -13.02% CYTD (vs. down -10.19% CYTD a week ago).
RKRW's portfolio climbed back into first place, with GHMM & SCARAM placing second and third. The CYTD percentages were: RKRW up 7.59%, GHMM up 5.65% and SCARAM up 4.62%.
At Friday's close, 5 of the 32 Contest portfolios were in the black and 11 of the 32 were beating the NBI.
Enjoy the weekend folks!
