"Joseph Parker wrote "The man whose little sermon is "repent" sets himself against his age, and will for the time being be battered mercilessly by the age whose moral tone he challenges. There is but one end for such a man - "off with his head!" You had better not
try to preach repentance until you have pledged your head to heaven."
Food for thought... "

Food for thought indeed! When was the last time people called for your head and mercilessly battered you. Those who carefully tailor their words to appease the worldly crowd and preac a watered down doctrine will never be battered or have their heads cut off.

Showing up peoples false doctrines and calling them to repentance is a serious bussines and one should count the cost. Those who want to retain the favor of the world and play at preaching are the lukewarm, and you know what happens to them.

The Word of God and Christ and true Christiantianity have always been
unpopular. The words of God that reveal who is antichrist are some of the most unpopular words to the pagans and antichrists. This is why lukewarm Christians shy away from them and prefer platitudes that do not reveal the truth.
