I am not sure I'd brag too much about that point.

My problem is we cary much of the tab at the UN while the UN is anti-american as a whole. We'd be better served putting our cash elsewhere.

That's just more silliness...we have dominated the UN for decades. They vote against us once and it is anti-american. Give me a break. It you know nothing about it, when we can't make some empoverished third world nation vote for one of our resolutions, it ought to tell you something about how screwed up it might be. Better served how anyway? Has it occurred to you that the UN was right in the case of Iraq? That the country really rushed to war? That other nations are entitled to an opinion? and that it doesn't necessarily have to match yours?

Or are you just looking for a UN that is nothing more than a rubberstamp? What checking purpose would that have? Look in the mirror folks.
