knight, this post I submitted on Friday from the ECRI seems to indicate that inflation is a non-issue. I think many also believed that inflation was in check during all those past rate hikes. So, which is it ?

11:28 AM ECONOMY TALK: The Economic Cycle Research Institute reported earlier that inflationary pressures "are retreating at the fast pace in 10 years, underscoring the likelihood of a cyclical decline in inflation this year." The ECRI's future inflation index fell to 107.4 in April from 109.6 the previous month, the 12th consecutive decline.
