Seems to me that this argument actually undercuts the Zionist argument. Which I don't buy. I do support Israel as a fait accompli, which I wish to survive, but your argument about Basques is too intelligent for me to believe in Zionism.

It also undercuts the Palestinian "right to return," as well, so it's what they call a double-edged sword.

Double edged sword isn't exactly right, what is meant is a weapon that you have to be careful picking up because you can cut yourself, but you pick up swords by the handle, and sword handles don't cut.

I can't think of a fancy, legal sounding argument for "it's mine and you'll take it away over my dead body and my buddies, too."
