So what are you telling us? That Microsoft know how to use Internet Information Server better than Ebay know how to use Solaris? No doubt. That has been the problem with Ebay all along. They haven't had a strategy for managing their site. Or didn't. I assume they've learned from their mistakes, and hired some smart Sun Sysadmins, or bought a full service contract from Sun.

One of the problems though, twister, is that only Microsoft can figure out how to run IIS in a stable manner. Now, if Microsoft was to design, integrate, and fabricate hardware and software together, and sell and support them in the field, then I'd give them a chance in the server marketplace But they don't do that, do they? Sun does.

I wonder how they keep IIS up at all. They must never modify it. Wait 'till IIS goes to Windows2000 though.
