I figure Fred Brook's famous quote is in order right about now.

Adding manpower to a late software project makes it later.

From "The Mythical Man Month," by Fred Brooks, who oversaw the OS/360 program for IBM in the 60's which consumed 5000 man years of work. It seems that Microsoft is going to put that number to shame.
