"As time passes we accept that the current circumstance comes to us from a before state, which came from a state of before that, etc. etc. etc. moment to moment."

But that does not say anything about eternity. I can only look back a moment and I cannot look ahead at all. Nothing in that to make me consider "eternity" as a possibility...

"we accept that the current circumstance comes to us from a before state, which came from a state of before that, etc. etc. etc. moment to moment."

It is a bit more complicated than that. There is no proof that movement entails "time". And it certainly has nothing to do with a valid assumption of "eternity".

"The only way this can be explained is if temporal experience was kicked off at the same tic"

That does not inform the argument. If you wish to suppose that there was a "first tic"...you can just as easily suppose a "last tic".

"there may be unique qualities that we wont be able to fathom until in or of that realm."

Agreed...there may be ANYTHING. And all the human cultures have invented and imagined EVERYTHING!-and none of them agree! Have fun with it!

"Since all evidence in temporal existence is of beginnings and endings we could speculate that time is no different"

Yes...we could speculate that way. But our experience of "time" is comparable to a may fly whom fies for a day and then dies.

"Since all evidence in temporal existence is of beginnings and endings we could speculate that time is no different"

Possibilities are limitless. But I have been under the knife several times; and I do not remember the last 5 billion years; so forgive me if I apply a certain logic. Remember..I am not against religion: I oppose the racism and hatred that OFTEN flows from religion. And if you understand the underpinnings of most religions and their raison d'etre...then you will understand how they encourage and reward certain beliefs...

Why do I care? We have finally found a sense of freedom, rules, and rights after 50 million years. I don't know where it will end up after the sun dies out. But I do have people in my life whom I wish to live with reason and freedom. I truly DO want the superstitious monsters who murder innocent people and torture them to just...die in their sleep.

Such terrible insane people to bomb innocents and children. Serial killers are saints aside these sorts of people--from any race or culture. Some insane serial killer is bad because he tortured and caused ultimate terror to a score or two of people?? But these bastards whom murder 10 or 20 kids at a time just get a few paragraphs?

We vomit at some Dahmler...but we simply shrug at some insane bastard that takes the lives of 20 or 30 innocents in one fell swoop? I truly wish there was a Hell. But, of course--there is not.
