Thanks for the well wishes......Ii is what it is. I'm hoping they can rise up to the occasion.

Koy is serviceable and he will need to play well enough not to lose games. At this point, making the playoffs would be a moral victory. Beyond that it's all gravy.

When McNabb was diagnosed with the fractured ankle, my heart sank and it reminded me how I felt when Cunningham tore his knee up (in the pocket no less) on opening day 1991 (against the Pack in Milwaukee - Remember Bryce Paup)

The D rose up that season and made a good run even though the Eagles used four other backups (McMahon, Goebel, Pat Ryan & Jeff Kemp). Only McMahon was worth a damn.

The game that sticks out was the Monday night game against the Oilers in the House of Pain (Astrodome). I attended that game (the benefits of traveling a lot) and it was one of the best defensive displays (both sides) that I've ever seen). The bottom line is it was a 13-9 Eagles victory

The Eagles D will need to rise up to the occasion if they have any chance of salvaging the season and next Monday night in San Francisco is a perfect place to start.
