From EE Times: Dataquest is forcasting a $2.9 Billion market for Gigabit Ethernet by the year 2000. I'm not saying I believe it. I'm also not saying that Vitesse is going to get a big chunk of the chip business for this if it does happen. However, the opportunity is there. I don't own stock in Vitesse or any other GaAs company. I'm only following this thread since I designed some GaAs chips in a former life. My opinion back then was that Vitesse would be out of business by now, so I'm offering no advice :-) I am glad to see the company doing well.
