LMT is another dividend darling that has steadily reduced its share count through buybacks. According to the key ratios page on Morningstar, the share count has gone from 447 million shares in 2004 to a TTM figure of 325 million shares, a reduction of 27%.

I know a lot of us have a preference for money flowing into dividends, but at the same time we also seem to enjoy companies that systematically and significantly reduce their share counts via share buybacks.
