people give more weight to the early stages of life than your view of it I give the early stages of human life a lot of weight, but I give more to the later stages. The earlier an abortion is performed the less it bothers me. I agree. The one area that the right wing skips and ignores is the alternative to abortion. Almost by definition we are talking about a potential child that is unwanted, possibly defective, and unwelcome in it's own family. It's possible that the mother will have a change of heart and everything will be roses or it's possible that the child will be adopted by the Walton's and spend it's day saying "goodnight" to a giant loving family, but the odds are that a life of misery and horror are in store for it. The majority of unwanted children face emotional detatchment, poverty, crippling deformities, abuse and rape. The lucky few will get regular meals in foster homes and as wards of the state. You make a bad assumption that someone who does want to abort in the THIRD trimester, after carrying for 6 months and aware of all the procedures you have layed out will magicly become Donna Reed if a few more months go by.
