Hi Jim,

The ISDN offering is very clever where the connection is broken during idle time on the link (after a time-out). While this solves the congestion problems within the Public Switched Network, I see problems where users start competing (i.e. waiting) for a channel between the Central Office and their ISP. ISP's typically oversubscribe these. It won't take long for users to figure out how to repeatedly ping a router at their ISP to maintain (no time-out) their session connections and avoid competing/waiting as mentioned above. And so the congestion continues.
