I find it absolutely amazing that you are still having lunch on a regular basis with people you knew in high school. I very rarely get together with one or two old high school chums, but recently...........last few yrs or so.............even that has turned into never. I did go to my 40th high school reunion last summer and got together with a few girlfriends afterward. I used to very regularly visit a friend and her sis in Portland, but even that has stopped. People drift apart and go their separate ways for a variety of reasons. It's nice to hear the relationship you developed with your long time friends is still going strong.

The restaurant we went to last night was also very busy. I commented to my hubby that maybe the economy IS getting better. Course this area has always been a little stronger economically than the rest of the country. But there was a time just within the last 2 1/2 yrs we weren't sure about anything.
