My guess is that Shalet is someone quite low in the company who tried to take control of the situation to impress his boss. Obviously we / I can only guess, but I'd put money on Shalet being Langdon. It makes too much sense, and is too much of a coincidence, for it not to be him.>>

Sorry, TICK did not suddenly become a handwriting expert and deduce this Shalet fellow is Langdon. No, poor TICK is just parroting what Andy, the webmaster of Planetcrap thinks. Figures.
