<<ASND's managment's communicatin with their stock holders is so poor that even when they are trying to send a positive news out, everybody reads into so negativly. Hopefuly I am right and it's good news and not another 8k bit.>>
I'm still 50+ posts back, ut this is a good point to jump in.
IMO the miscommunication is by the Reuters reporter not by ASND, but we won't know for sure until we see the analyst reactions tomorrow AM.
I can visualize the Reuters reporter racing to the phone and misreporting what he (or she) heard. The problem is that "slowing growth" and "10% qtr to qtr growth" do not go together in most people's minds. So the Reuters person reports it as 10% annual growth.
46% annual growth is something MOST CEOs would give their right arm for. The message appears to be "Growth will ONLY be about 10% sequentially for several quarters, after which things will get better."!
Extrapolating, we get $297M for Q4 and $1.5 Billion in 1998 (327, 356, 392, 430).
Everything depends on how mosts Analysts perceive the information they received today. ASND has been drifting down for several weeks because analysts had no way to gauge Q4 and 1998. Well now they do.
If this is received positively as an honest attempt to portray a positive conservative outlook, we will go up from here.
I will try to get to work early and see what analyst info I can see and synopsize before the market opens, if I can. My news source, Newsedge, today merged with one of my stocks, so I had other good news today - yes I think this was GOOD news today. |
