Calypso, the direction change IMO is their best bet at staying in business. PD is completely correct is stating that no one is willing to risk the security of their systems by buying into an untested algorithm. Citrix, Network Assoc., E&Y don't seem to be aligning with Jaws for the sake of an untested algo, are they? Testing this algo at University is a safe way to go, but it will not provide them momentum in the marketplace anytime soon. But, the University will present them great exposure when it comes to showcasing their security service talents. As far as the departure of Morrison, PD is leaving our imaginations to run wild. And we all know that the human imagination is much more powerful than any single statement of truth. Nothing is black and white, and his termination may not be for any one reason. Could be that(all merely conjecture): his algo was flawed and he couldn't fix it....he recognized the change in business model....he had intimate relations with the spouse of a superior....he wanted to write the great American (excuse me, Canadian) novel more than work with Jaws....we can all fill in the blanks. The relationship between himself and Jaws is, and should remain, private. But our imaginations will do as they please. As I've stated earlier, I still hold a fair chunk of shares long on Jaws. Risky...oh, yes. Stupid...we shall see. PD, I have written earlier that your humor has no bounds...and is equally very creative. But, please do me the favor of not "bashing" this stock. Critiques and questions are well placed, and you will do as you please, but my little heart couldn't take would break if you had an alterior motive to your posts besides genuine concern for fellow investors. We all appreciate the thorough research, but my deep respect for you would wither if you turned out to be TK's right hand man, or another in the line of Jaws short-holders. Peace, and enjoy this glorious California Sunday (if CA is yours to enjoy). Wes |
