My weird form of "on the street" proof of the upswing would be the conduct of street beggars in various cities throughout Latin America. The street people generally only make one half-hearted pass to hit you up for your change- not very aggressive at all when compared to other parts of the world. Now part of the style may be culturally-related, but I think that part of it also relates to the economic upswing making it easier for street people to eke out an existence. I would hardly call the poor well-off in Latin America- but their behavior seems to suggest that their success rate in working part0time jobs and in begging has improved as the economies have improved... a truly crazy indicator but one I believe to be onsite and valid.... Doug, Thank you for your thoughts. I agree the approach is different but as good as any. TBR is coming back quite well. That is a relief with all the other problems. Glenn
