Right you are, except I'd amend to "doing his or her job" as we've consistently had the benefit of CSCO's team sales approach, that includes some of the brightest men and women in their Systems Engineering group.

I completely agree that CCO is very beneficial to the backoffice at Tasman Drive, while the model on the street continues to work the old fashioned way. Our engineers use CCO for valuable product data and price info, but rely on standard channel for the actual ordering. The distributors then use CCO to place the orders - preserves the channel discount structure as well. Doesn't detract from the efficiencies of e-commerce as CSCO touts, but shouldn't be confused with ordering off Amazon.com either.
