JeezuzHGawdalmighty!!!

Lotta doom 'n gloom on this thread---maybe someone should start a new board; suggested titles:

1. Armageddon Cometh! Apocaplypse Now!
2. Hoarding Deadly Weapons and Foodstuffs
3. Y2K Maggots are Gnawing Into Your Brain Through Your Nostrils and Ears
4. Repent Now or Burn Forever!

(jestkiddin')

I have no ability to foretell the future, so I'd be a fool to seriously try. But, History does speak volumes. Take for example the history of my ill-fated attempts at investing in gold......

If everything goes haywire when Y2K hits, I would rather have stockpiled something edible---gold has left a very bad taste in my mouth, and was indigestible. And THAT is a lesson from history (mine).

I for one appreciate the historical warnings on this thread. 'Course, some may argue that a broken clock gives correct time twice a day..... I am a believer in the value of history, but it's always a question how appropriate extrapolation may be---and always an uncertainty for me.

But BRCM has a history as well. And of far more importance to me as an investor, BRCM appears-----note the equivocation here----to have a very bright future. So I retain enough uncertainty to not bet the farm on ANY company's future, including BRCM. Just a small portion of the farm.

I could be proven wrong, but even if I am, it won't hurt much.

P.S. There is hope---I think---after all, it's alway's darkest just before it goes completely black.
