Yes, it was your question to me that prompted me to look over Collins' report again and make the observation I did. For that thanks.

The IEEE spec says that converting a float to an integer that does not fit should be an error. Your Sparc should catch this error. I don't have a Sparc to check it. It maybe a compile time option.

Thanks for the expression of "no ill will". I wish more people here could feel the same way.
