10:30 ET Dow +10, Nasdaq +10, S&P -1.09: [BRIEFING.COM] No spectacular activity in the early going but the markets look
promising after the first hour of trading. The Dow has failed its first attempt at 11,000 and sold off to some degree which isn't a huge
surprise. Nonetheless, the index retains its positive bias. On the Nasdaq, leadership is evident in both semiconductors (SOX +1.1%) and
biotech (BTK +1.6%) which is serving to offset weakness in software. On the broader markets, buy interest is evident in oil, telecomm
equip, tobacco and chemicals while transports, retail and regional banks are on the defensive. DJTA -0.5%... DJUA -0.8%... XOI +0.5%...
Nasdaq 100 +1.1%... S&P Midcap 400 +0.3%... Russell 2000 +0.3%... NYSE Adv/Dec 1366/1116... Nasdaq Adv/Dec 1805/1288.
