Sal, the PS/2 still had so-called ISA slots. The PS/2 ran DOS. What kind of backward compatibility do you want? The PS/2 sold ok, it just didn't work out the way IBM wanted it to. OS/2 probably had as much to do with its problems than Microchannel, and whose fault was that?
