How do you know the reason for preparing the list? You claim that the list illustrates was triggered by some ill intentions and your reason for that claim is your inference of ill intentions. It would be too generous to call that circular logic.

Do you seriously think the list wasn't prepared with ill intentions?

What about the list is misleading? Did any of those acts not happen?

Everything about the list is misleading. Without doing any exhaustive analysis and just talking from the top of my head, I can say - Yes, some of the acts didn't happen as described - for example:

1956: Israel, Britain, and France invade Egypt. U.S. does not support invasion, but the involvement of its NATO allies severely diminishes Washington's reputation in the region.

Does the list explain why the US forced Britain, France and Israel to give up the Sinai and Suez Canal to Egypt, a nation which subsequently allied itself with the Soviet Union? Two of those nations were NATO allies.

1958: U.S. troops land in Lebanon to preserve "stability".

In light of Lebanon's history, does the list explain why that s/b considered a positive, not a negative?

1970: Civil war between Jordan and PLO. Israel and U.S. discuss intervening on side of Jordan if Syria backs PLO.

Again why should that also not be considered a positive?

1972: U.S. blocks Egyptian leader Anwar Sadat's efforts to reach a peace agreement with Israel.

Do you think this is accurate, Lane? When did the US block an effort for peace?

I'm not going to continue with the list. But I will ask you, if you think it is a reasonable depiction of events:

Why did the US prevent the Israelis from finishing off the PLO and itself ultimately evacuated the PLO from Beirut to Tunisia? Why did we do this despite Yasser Arafat's order to murder two of our diplomats in Khartoum years earlier and the prior slaughter of other Americans by Palestinian terrorists?

Why doesn't the list mention that the US has been the primary promotor of efforts to resolve the Israel-Palestinian conflict peacefully?

Why doesn't the list credit the US with preventing the erasure of the nation of Kuwait off the map?

It seems to me a reasonable list of US acts that would be received unfavorably by the parties in question, expressed in a neutral tone.

Wow. You've really drunk the koolaid.
