Bernie - Sun is an excellent company and it is leading the internet charge. Their servers and system software are used by many Internet Web sites. Their Java language and variants have captured the imagination of software programmers like no other language in the history of modern computers. I'm not sure of the financial return on the Java end - but with so much momentum, I'm sure something good will come out of it. One cloud on the horizon - Sun's SPARC architecture seems to be losing some sparkle (pun intended) with the rapid advances Intel is making in Pentium Pro areas. Intel seems to be targeting the server market with multiprocessor Pentium Pro versions + Windows NT. This could be real competition for Sun. On the flip side, the internet/server business may be growing rapidly enough to bring rewards to both Intel and Sun. Paul
