You're not going to tell me DEC's woes in the last decade are directly attributed to MSFT business practices are you. Robert Palmer can take the blame for that. Obviously, DEC saw the benefit of NT on Alpha in the scenario you posted. Seems like a good business decision regardless of what those brilliant engineers felt.
