Very similar things happened to me.I kept getting unexpected "\" or some such thing and I quadruple checked my syntax and I thought it was okay. Since I am new to scans I thought there was some other syntax problem. I eventually started over and it worked fine so I think that the text gets corrupted internally and you can't really see the problem. There is a bug here IMHO. Dale
