Wouldn't they still be risking a forced buy-in? If all 2.88m shares were shorted, couldn't this lead to an insufficient supply of shares available for shorting? Particularly if the long-term WIND investors moved their shares out of margin accounts?

Does the increased demand for borrowed shares create additional risks for the regular shorts? Unlike the bond-holders, who could always liquidate their bonds to buy back the shorted shares, the regular shorts would remain vulnerable to a short squeeze.
