Thanks max,
That's a good read.. He's very perceptive. Great minds think alike. <vbg>.. Not really, but an ill wind has blown something across this land. One can just sense it along the way.. That's why everybody should get out there once in awhile and rub a$$es with somebody besides the swells. To see what's happening.
Especially now in this cyber-era, people of ALL ages are becoming more and more isolated, living their lives vicariously through the internet. Hell, I have read, they even have virtual cities where one can set up their own lives with whatever personality they want.. That's why the military promotes and distributes war video games, virtual war, so the poor schlocks think real war is the same and are easily seduced.. Btw, I read in the Sacramento Bee about two months ago, that the average child between 8 and 18 or so spends an AVERAGE of 4-5 hours a DAY on the computer on their own.. That doesn't leave a helluva of a lot of time for eating, sleeping school and EXERCISE.. The state of California was trying to promote a program to get the little buggers out of the house, to hike a trail, catch a fish or baseball or a few rays.. That's why the article was written..
Young and old need their a$$es kicked out the door every so often so they land on their mugs in the mud.. Cut some wood, plant something, etc, just do something and talk to the people that do.Get some dirt under your finger nails, pitch on your hands and sawdust down your neck... Also strike up a conversation with those that change your oil, then the next time change your own damn oil.. Then maybe they will start to get a pulse on the country and see what's happening..
Otherwise their minds are easily captured by whoever sends some crap, true or not, their way..
I know I am rambling so I will quit now..:)
I have followed Fallon on your thread plus have heard what he is doing on various talk shows.. BIG Kudos to him.
Happy Thanks and Giving.. :)
