Punko,
Government wants to control and tax everything. This used to be a free country, next was socialism and now communism. The internet is free and hopefully will remain free. I am sure you have noted the passing of pay for content internet sites. The internet is one of our last freedom of speech domains, fight with your last breath to preserve it. I used to have a drivers license to drive my car and that was about it except for my commercial pilot license and both require a level of expertise so it wasn't a burden to keep them up with annual physicals for the pilots license and pay the fees for my drivers license. Now however, I have in addition a clam license, a lobster license, a boat license and registration, and five professional licenses necessary to conduct my engineering business. Each professional license comes with continuing education requirements and annual fees. If I let my license lapse I will have to deal with the clam police, the lobster police, the air police, the road police, the engineer police, the federal trade commission, the EPA enforcement, OSHA, and countless other police groups. Is there anything left thats free in this police state? Just the internet even though we pay our ISP for access the internet is basically free. There are pay sites but you don't have to view them because the same information is free somewhere. I teach people how to use the internet and I am amazed at how many people pay for things that are free elsewhere.
Cosmo
