Unfortunately the 'science' of nutrition is a work-in-progress and is constantly being revised and previous conclusions contradicted by new studies. Our bodies were designed to eat both meat and veggies, that much is quite clear, and I believe that is because we are supposed to eat them and our bodies need both. I think it is dangerous to go to the extreme of eliminating one whole foodstuff based on what might well turn out to be faulty science in the future, just as the 'fats are bad for you' scientific conclusion of yesteryear is now being debunked. As I said, the science of nutrition yields dynamic, not static, conclusions. . .
