BB, The issue is less one of too many manufacturers than too much capacity. The loss of manufacturers doesn't necessarily remove capacity from the system if -- as in the case of TI -- they sell or transfer productive assets to others. Certainly consolidation could lead to a quicker shuttering of outdated fabs, but I'm guessing the effect would be marginal. mg
