Maybe we should all look at that statement by Freeport about "visual differences in the gold"

Firstly for the amount of gold that they found it would take the Hubble telescope to be able to see it.

Secondly this was visually different compared to what Bre-x sample and core. The gold in the first few hundred feet is likely to be more weathered and rounded than the gold at lower depths.

I would love to see them prove that the gold was visually different in a court of law. It would be quite interesting.
