DW, You may want to look into the efforts to create QoS on IP. with Diffserv, RSVP, RTP, and IP Precendence bits. I agree that QoS on IP will never equal that of ATM, but the question will be "is the difference noticable to the user?". If not, then the carriers will opt for the most cost effective implementation. It's an interesting area to watch.... OG
