It is nearly impossible to determine the fundamental directionof MSFT's stock using technical analysis. MSFT's fundamentals are rock solid and improving as time progresses. One probable reason for MSFT's potential (Id doubt it will happen) drop in earnigs (an inconsequential accrual accounting figure) is it phenominal investment in future growth (R&D, acquisistios, upfront marketing and minority investments) in preparation for an increasingly diverse product mix.
