Nice place levy...yes, this year has been not one of the best for us, nor has it been for most everyone we know... certainly times of trial, and I'm sure we are supposed to be learning things from the trials...I've been saying quite loudly lately: OK OK, I'm learning already! Stop...We got the message....ETC...

SS thought of you today....went Holiday shopping, and yes, we too are scaling down, which maybe a good thing....We were looking at beautiful "not new" books in nice leather bindings...there was one of poetry, and thought of you and your wonderful words...
JB, loved your "petite portfolio" comment....mine is that too now...But while some are speculative, most are what I consider good stocks...just very badly bruised tech stocks. Keep asking myself, if we want growth in this country....where else is it going to be coming from if not tech???
Rudi~~ think tealight candles, tons of greens, and big wonderful bows...each wedding is so special today, and surely doesn't have to be a big expensive to-do.....and whatever you do, it will be wonderful....weddings always are!
CM...your comments made me think of our early married days...some of the very best times we had were just window shopping, or spent in antique stores, learning about all sorts of "stuff", or walking and sitting in the parks...reading, feeding the little birds and animals...etc. Maybe that's what this is all about for all of us....just to be grateful every day for the folks in our lives, and whatever material things we have around us that we love... |
