DECEMBER 3, 1996

Nordic Gold Corporation - Magenta Project Culiacan,
Sinaloa Mexico

TORONTO, ONTARIO--The Magenta Project is a 50-50 Joint Venture
between NORDIC GOLD CORPORATION (NGC - ASE) and Freewest Resources
Canada Inc. (ME - TSE).

Nordic has received the preliminary results of Aerodat's
Helicopter EM, VLF and Magnetic Survey on the joint venture's
Magenta Project. Currently Aerodat is preparing the final report
that will be released to the joint venture in late December.

The airborne survey reveals that all three of the high grade
North-South Cobalt-Nickel-Copper-Silver-Gold Zones found to date
and previously reported on in the La Prieta area, lie within a
North-South trending magnetic low. The strongest segment of this
intense magnetic low strikes 700 meters from North to South where
it is faulted some 400 meters to the East and then continues South
for an additional 700 meters. This gives a potential prospective
length along the magnetic low of a 1400 meters.

This magnetic low appears to be due to a large alteration zone
whereby magnetic minerals such as magnetite have bee altered to
non magnetic hematite.

A magnetic low located approximately 1 kilometer South-East of the
Southern end of the La Prieta magnetic low was located by the
Aerodat Survey.

Initial grab samples from a highly oxidized zone known as Paulo
Mulalo located along the Western edge of the low gave the
following results:

/T/

- Gold up to .965 gms per ton
- Silver up to 260 gms per ton
- Copper up to 9.68 percent
- Cobalt up to .03 percent
- Nickel up to .01 percent

/T/

Approximately 950 meters South-West of the Southern end of the La
Prieta magnetic low a third large magnetic low was discovered.

A strong North-South showing known as Apomal was located on the
north edge of the low. Initial grab samples gave the following
results from a strong highly leached, oxidized, hematite rich
zone.

/T/

- Gold up to 1.8 gms per ton
- Silver up to 1450 gms per ton
- Copper up to 0.86 percent
- Cobalt up to 0.68 percent
- Nickel up to 0.44 percent

/T/

These new showings, numerous magnetic lows and EM conductors found
by the Aerodat airborne survey will be the subject of a followup
program prior to a drilling program scheduled for the latter part
of January.
