Okay if there proves to be a corelation between fat people and flu deaths then your argument may hold some validity. I'll bet there won't be.

But that misses the point of the importance of following this bug. Even if it is only compromised people that die, then what happens in third world nations where huge masses of people are compromised in many ways because of their poor nutrition and health in general?

This flu has circled the world in an unbelievable short amount of time. If that doesn't scare the beezeebies out of all of us, it sure should - not to panic but to understand our vulnerabilities. Maybe this one only kills fat people as you seem to argue, but it could very well change as did the 1918 flu as it morphs and mutates in poor hoards of people that are compromised - or it might be the next flu down the road that we need worry about.
