Gordon/Julianne - Most TA is based on patterns and indicators... and patterns and indicators are based on underlying assumptions... assumptions which must be embraced if you are to understand/act on the pattern or indicator. If you find 5 TA'ers, you will find AT least 5 sets of indicators/assumptions/beliefs... at LEAST..! Mine will not be the same as yours... and therefore, I may get a sell signal on a completely different day/week than you might... All I can do is work with the indicators that correspond to the assumptions I understand and have embraced... the ones I have found work well with the stocks which I track/study. When they tell me to buy or sell, I know I will only be right a percentage of the time, but I trade with the signals because I have found that to NOT do so is less profitable... :-) If I rough myself up because I get a sell signal and the stock goes up the next day, I will never be comfortable enough with TA to truly practice it. It's all about 'batting averages'... ! Loren
