Actually, it was Greenspan's fault. If he had lowered the interest rate 50 basis points in Dec 2000, the Bush recession in March 2001 would not have begun. Greenspan is a pompous arrogant idiot who answers to no one and wants to get his hands on Social Security. Again, Greenspan precipitated the decline in the market with his overbearing heavy-handedness.
