To preserve Iraqi freedom, America must maintain a permanent military presence in Iraq.

We're still in Germany, Japan, and South Korea. We had bases in the Philippines for about 100 years, finally closed down the last base circa 1992, but have troops back there now keeping the peace ("helping keep the peace").
