The answer is that there are plenty of consumers out there who are AMD brand loyalists. Part of the reason for such loyalty is the notion of "break free" that AMD milks for all its PR worth. In other words, it really is the fear that Intel will become the next Microsoft.

Wrong on the above, loyalty applies to returning customers, but AMD is growing market share. In other words, they are taking customers away from Intel.

This appears to be happening still, even after the CMW release. Why is that??? That is the real question, but yours was not the correct answer.

At present, we don't know.

IMO....I think it is about some future products that AMD has, that the OEM's are already aware of.

Now that's not an answer, it's just a guess.
