Always amuses me to watch Pawn Stars. People bring their stuff in and when Rick tells them the price he's willing to pay, they say, "but I researched it and it's worth $X.xx!" they seem oblivious to the fact that the Pawn shop needs to resell the item and turn a profit. "I should sell some of my stuff. I did sell some of my Dad's stuff when I cleaned out the shed at the lake. Like a brass fire hose nozzle, old electric shavers (I never saw him use any other kind), stuff like that. Antique stores will not pay much. They can't, and still make a profit."
